Why should people learn the CORRECT facts about Autism?

Kids with Autism can be really misunderstood. Parents often misunderstand their symptoms and fail to help them in ways that work. Other kids sometimes misinterpret their behavior and decide to bully them or ostracize them. Communities often lose out on the unique contributions Autistic people can make because they devalue what Autistic people have to offer. This kind of ignorance can have severe consequences for people with Autism, their loved ones, and their communities.

Also, you have to be careful about where you get your information. There is so much incorrect information out there!   For example, I took this quiz…:

https://heywise.com/quiz/ever-wondered-if-you-have-autism/

…and it told me, “You totally don’t have Autism!” Thanks, but I’ll believe the neuropsychologist who did six hours of testing with me, my parents, the rest of my family, and my friends over some stupid quiz on the Internet any day!
